12. Jacob John³ Wolfgang (Johann (John) Michael², Michael¹) (#770) was born in Macungie Twp., Lehigh (once Northampton) Co., PA October 13, 1787. Jacob died September 10, 1860 Eldred Twp., Schuylkill Co., PA, at age 72. His body was interred after September 10, 1860 Eldred Twp., Schuylkill Co., PA. Gravestone is missing. Some records list burial in Zion Cemetery, "Kehlers".

He married twice. He married Catharine (Dobbs) Reiner about 1808. (Catharine (Dobbs) Reiner is #771.) Catharine was born about 1790. Catharine was the daughter of Frederick Reiner. Catharine died May, 1831 in Upper Mahantongo (now Eldred) Twp., Berks (now Schuylkill) Co., PA, at age 40. He married Margaret (Peggy) Rebecca Kieffer August 28, 1831 in Upper Mahantongo (now Eldred) Twp., Berks (now Schuylkill) Co., PA. (Margaret (Peggy) Rebecca Kieffer is #773.) Margaret was born October 2, 1807 in Upper Mahantongo (now Eldred) Twp., Berks (now Schuylkill) Co., PA. Margaret was the daughter of Daniel Kieffer and Margaret Schmidt. Margaret died September 18, 1879 in Upper Mahantongo (now Eldred) Twp., Berks (now Schuylkill) Co., PA, at age 71. Waldner Gedcom shows Eldred Twp., Schuylkill Co., PA

Her body was interred. Peggy applied for a veteran of the War of 1812 widow's pension in 1879.

He was baptized November 11, 1787 in Salisbury Twp., Northampton (now Lehigh) Co., PA.⁽¹⁴⁾ Jacob was employed after 1795, in Upper Mahantongo (now Eldred) Twp., Berks (now Schuylkill) Co., PA. Jacob served in the military September 1, 1814. Served, War of 1812, 2nd Regiment of the Pennsylvania Militia.

Jacob applied for bounty land 1851. Granted 40 acres.

Jacob applied for bounty land 1855. Granted 120 acres.

He made a will November 17, 1857 Eldred Twp., Schuylkill Co., PA. To wife, Margaret Rebecca Kieffer Wolfgang- 3 beds, 2 cows, 2 sheep, room, clothing closet, clock, cabinet in room & drop leaf table.

To daughter Catharine: has her share in land. To son Jacob D.: has his share in land but sold it to son Samuel. to son Samuel: to keep and follow the agreement made April 1, 1853. Moved to Upper Mahantongo Twp., Schuylkill Co., PA abt 1795. Became farmer, wagon maker, and wheelwright. Granted 40 acres in 1851 and 120 acres in 1855 as bounty for his service in the War of 1812. He was illiterate and signed his name with an X on all documents.

Jacob John Wolfgang and Catharine (Dobbs) Reiner had the following children:

45 ii. Sara Wolfgang (#932) was born Upper Mahantongo Twp., Northumberland Co., PA September 4, 1811. Sara died 1886 at age 74. She married Benjamin Romer. (Benjamin Romer is #7206.)

She was christened September 4, 1811 in Northumberland Co., PA. Howerter's Church

46 iii. Maria Wolfgang (#1595) was born 1813.

48 v. Catharine Wolfgang (#933) was born in Upper Mahantongo (now Eldred) Twp., Berks (now Schuylkill) Co., PA December 20, 1815. Catharine died March 25, 1846 in Upper Mahanoy Twp., Northumberland Co., PA, at age 30. She married Samuel Gottschal. (Samuel Gottschal is #3549.) Samuel was born November 14, 1815. Samuel died September 8, 1856 in Upper Mahanoy Twp., Northumberland Co., PA, at age 40.

49 vi. Lythia Wolfgang (#934) was born in Upper Mahantongo (now Eldred) Twp., Berks (now Schuylkill) Co., PA February 22, 1818. She married Abraham Frey March 14, 1865 in Ashland, Barry Twp., Barry Twp., Schuylkill Co., PA. Married in Zion's Lutheran Church, Ashland, Schuylkill Co., PA (Abraham Frey is #936.)

50 vii. Elizabeth (Elisabeth) Wolfgang (#935) was born in Upper Mahantongo (now Eldred) Twp., Berks (now Schuylkill) Co., PA September 5, 1820. She married Daniel S. Hepler. (Daniel S. Hepler is #3550.) Daniel was born October 18, 1822.

51 viii. Regina Wolfgang (#937) was born in Upper Mahantongo (now Eldred) Twp., Berks (now Schuylkill) Co., PA March 6, 1823. Regina died March 12, 1851 at age 28. She married David Kieffer March 17, 1850 in Rebuck, Washington Twp., Northumberland Co., PA. (David Kieffer is #3551.) David was born April 1, 1820. David died March 12, 1851 at age 30.

52 ix. Carl (Charles) Wolfgang (#938) was born in Upper Mahantongo (now Eldred) Twp., Berks (now Schuylkill) Co., PA August 20, 1825. Carl died at age unknown. Died young.
