Gurney died July 2, 1994 at age 99. His body was interred July 6, 1994 in Sacramento, Hubley Twp., Schuylkill Co., PA.

He married Gabriella Wiest. (Gabriella Wiest is #19026.) Gabriella was born July 26, 1899 in Rough & Ready, Upper Mahantongo Twp., Schuylkill Co., PA. Gabriella was the daughter of Charles Monroe Wiest and Mary Amelia Clark. Gabriella died October 27, 1972 at age 73. Her body was interred after October 27, 1972 in Sacramento, Hubley Twp., Schuylkill Co., PA.

Gurney served in the military c. 1943.
